Ck2 Great Holy War
I am the Fylkir (reformed norse version of the pope) and would very much like to know why I cannot start another holy war.
Crusades, Jihads, and Great Holy Wars are wars called by religious heads. All rulers of the religion are called on to cooperate in conquering a de jure kingdom from a religious enemy. When the religious head calls a crusade, all rulers will be notified and all rulers of the attacking religion will be pressured to join the war effort. The Holy Fury DLC just dropped and there's a lot of stuff I wanna' do in it. In this first campaign, I'm going to be reforming the Norse faith and trying to collect an obscene number of bloodlines. Successful Crusades may lead to a Jihad, which in Crusader Kings II is simply the Islamic equivalent. Holy Orders like the Knights Templar will slowly appear once the Crusades start. I am playing as Empire of Britannia. I have all the holy sites. The year is over 1100 and both the Muslims and the Catholics have called crusades before. The norse faith has over 100% moral authority. I have even started (and won) 4 great holy wars earlier, last one being about 30 years ago.
Why can't I start a holy war now?

I would double check the time since the last Great Holy War ended. I believe the cooldown for the Great Holy War CB is 30 years from the end of your last Great Holy War.
